Heritage Diesels

A busy early morning at Wellington Station today, with two specials hauled by heritage diesels passing through within 25 minutes of each other.

First was empty coaching stock from Crewe to Wolverhampton, to form a special ‘Deltic’ hauled train. The train passed at 07:19 with 47805 ‘Roger Hoskins MA 1925 – 2013’ on the front and 55022 ‘Royal Scott’s Grey’ on the rear.

The second train that passed at 7:43 was the Northern Belle Pullman with 57313 ‘Scarborough Castle’ on the front and 47815 on the back’.
